i am 17 years old and i live in south carolina. i want to move out of my parents house because i think i would be allot better off. i get yelled at fro everything i do. Im tired of it i just want to leave and be with my boyfriend we are planning on getting married soon. Please give me an answer

There is no "emancipation" law in Ohio. You're considered a child in Ohio until you reach age 18 and become an adult. You can't sign any legal contract in Ohio until age 18. Until you're age 18 in Ohio, a child needs parental consent to leave home, marry, join the armed forces, etc.

Living on your own is great, and if that is what you want, then do it as soon as you can get all the essentials covered. Be sure you have a stable career job started BEFORE you bail the nest because you can really stack up some cash in a hurry when you don't have to cover car payments, auto insurance, health insurance, a place to live, utilities, gasoline, food, clothes etc.Also, once you have the job, a car, and enough cash to cover all the above, there is one more thing. A rule of thumb in this economy is to have enough saved to support yourself and your BF for six months without income. But I think if you and your BF are both already in a good paying career jobs, you should be fine with only three months of expenses covered.One last thing, be sure to save a little extra for any wedding or honeymoon expenses. Even if you go the Justice of the Peace route, and skip the wedding costs, you will still want to at least take off a week or so, and stay at some place decent.As long as you do not get pregnant before you have finished any additional school / career training you and your BF plan on, you should be fine.I know some folks do not like it, but you might consider living together before you get married, while you finish school / career training etc. and get your carrers rolling... Just something to consider.
