Do I pay a down payment with the first month payment?

Do I pay a down payment with the first month payment?

I'-m looking for auto insurance and I am getting quotes from geico, all state, us agencies, etc and they said to start I pay a down payment.now do I pay the down payment and first month bill? or is the down payment basically the first month bill but a little higher?

You should try to stay away from "down payments". It is safer and cheaper to pay up front for the longest term allowed. . one year is best, second best is for six months

you pay the first premium to start the insurance. They will tell you what to pay next and when.
