How do you get a dealer's license in Texas for auto auctions?

There is a place in Houston, TX that has cheap cars and bikes with very little body damage on them. Catch is, you have to have a dealers license to get these things. Does anybody know how i have to go about getting one?

First you need garage liability insurance, which is mandatory in most every state. That runs $2500-3500 per year depending on your age & driving record.A retailer requires a place of business, a legit car lot.A wholesaler doesn't need that but can only buy & sell to dealers. In other words, its probably not worth it to save $1500 on your next car.

What "N" said...You need a physical address and lot, a land line running to said lot, someone to verify this operation is legit, and several weeks wait for your license.I'm sure there's more, but I haven't kept up with my dealership owner friend as of late and I don't believe he's selling cars anymore as it is...C4C probably ate up a lot of his buys now.

I think any American who has visited the DMV is very hesitant to turn healthcare over to the government. Worse, Hilary's plan makes health insurance mandatory. She points to auto insurance as a template for mandatory coverage, but auto insurance is only mandatory if you own and drive a car...

Where can I get the lowest priced auto insurance in orange county California ?
Go to a broker, they deal with multiple companies and usually give you the best rate. I wouldn't go with the national carriers I am afraid,.. everytime I check their rates they are always way higher than what I'm paying now.Source(s):seems fair

Can I stay on my parents auto insurance policy if I move out?
I believe you can stay on as a driver covered under their policy. Now if the car was yours, and you moved away and took the car with you, then no. You would be lying about where the car was actually garaged and you would have to get your own policy. Hope this helps.

Is there a cancellation fee for canceling auto insurance that is not effective yet?
My company would refund it without charge but yours may not. You will have to ask them. The reason they asked about your son is because he apparently lives in your household. They need to know about all people in your household who have drivers licenses. You can specifically *exclude* your...
