How much of the money added to the deficit under President Obama was meant to address the Great Recession?

How much of the money added to the deficit under President Obama was meant to address the Great Recession?

And how much of it was actually caused by his administration alone (as opposed to, say, Congress or the Federal Reserve)? And how does this compare with what President Bush spent before the Great Recession? Thanks for providing numbers and sources if possible.

Obama has been a great president. We are better off than we were in the 2008 recession.Go on the freeway and see all the 18 wheelers taking supplies to businesses.Go to walmart and see all the customers and all the products that have been produced recently.Go downtown and see all the people working and selling and buying things.Look at the jobs report and see that 93% of Americans have jobs.Obama has helped our economy and our nation in spite of the Republicans who tried to ruin our economy and then said, "We are here to save you from the mess we made"The Republican Record of how they tried to ruin America.1.Tax companies that ship jobs overseas – BLOCKED (Source)2.The Dream Act – BLOCKED (Source)3.Political Ad disclosure Bill – BLOCKED 2x (Source)4.Small Business Jobs Act – BLOCKED 2x (Source)5.Anti- Rape Amendment – BLOCKED (Source)6.Benefits for Homeless Veterans – BLOCKED (Source)7.Affordable Healthcare for America – Voted 33x to Repeal (Source)8.Healthcare for the 9/11 First Responders – BLOCKED (Source)9.The Jobs Bill – BLOCKED (Source)10.Wall Street Reform – BLOCKED (Source)11.Oil Spill Liability – BLOCKED (Source)12.Immigration Reform – BLOCKED (Source)13.Fair Pay Act of 2009 – BLOCKED and DEFEATED (Source)14.Unemployment Extension Bill – BLOCKED (Source)In 2012 they want you to think that Obama is to BLAME!http://voice4america.com/paulbrown/2012/…The only way Obama could protect the American people against the Republican terrorist in congress was to sign over 900 executive orders = to protect us against the Repuglican congress = They tried to ruin America from day one in order to later say “We are here to rescue you.”Here is the proof of what Obama has done for America:Ended torture of detaineesHealth insurance reformSubsidized 60% of Cobra insuranceRecovered unused SSI benefitsMedicare fraud recovery $5 billionHome foreclosure loan modification helpExpanded Alaska oil drillingSaved a million auto and related jobs from going overseasHired first responders and teachersfunding for community medical clinicscredit card disclosure reformsEnded gay discrmination in the armed forcesImproved veterans medical benefitsVeterans employment programImproved school nutritionImproved lower school grades in "Race to the Top"Saved the largest banks and financial institutionstax credits for small business hiresincome tax credits2009 tax rebatesSocial Security payroll tax cutseniors $300 rebatenuclear treaty with Russiastronger military presence in the PacificIron Dome missile defense system for IsraelLaunching cyber attacks on Iranian nuclear facilitiesCaptured Osama bin Laden and 5 othersDeposed the Libyan terrorist Quadaffianti-terrorism campaigns in AfghanistanDeportation of 400,000 illegal criminalsReforming student loansExtension of unemployment benefitsCampaign against childhood obesityConsumer financial protection agencyTemporary work permits for undocumented youthRefunds on insurance premiumsSaved 1 million auto industry and related jobs

All federal spending is approved by congress. There is no petty cash fund.Bush however convinced congress to approve spending on a war in Iraq, and it was approved without specific details on were all the money was going. We are in debt because of a war, that was not needed, we could have sent blue water in to take out the leaders in Iraq. Alot of Those war dollars were spent on equipment, the company that makes the equipment is partly owned by the former VP Cheney. ( i think through a large stock ownership he had) Who would also be the head of congress at the time.Obama is spending money to help people, whether he is doing it somewhat recklessly, his heart is in the right place, which is to help people in need, help people step their game up and be productive citizens. which is the same thing that had to happen after the great depression, we had to help people get on their feet.I have no fear that this debt is a permanent situation that will lead to America's doom, as some extremists may think. I think this is good debt, debt that invests in the future, so more money can be made.People often forget that the country is ran like a business and the products of which it earns from is us ( thats why we are numbered and our land) They will earn more money if we are in a better place all of us. Like paying for your kids to go to college, you dont have to do it, but you do, you go in debt, because its a win/win in the long run.Source(s):My brain, common sense 101
