How often does State Farm check driving records?

Looking for anyone who has State Farm auto insurance. I just got a stupid ticked for a rolling stop at a stop sign (mandatory 3 points on the license) and was curious as to how often State Farm checks driving records, as well as how much my insurance would increase.

It will take a few months for this ticket to catch up with the insurance company. I have State Farm. I do know that for the last few years they are hooked up electronically with the DMV Records and know immediately about driving records, and all other info about the vehicles they insure. IF you take care of this right away, and go to the Driving School as the option, this greatly reduces the chance that your Insurance will go up.How you deal with it depends on when State Farm gets the information. They don't do a random checks, usually they have to enter and check on a particular person. If you don't come up Red Flagged, you will be ok for awhile. Go do the right thing....take care of the ticket, take the option of driving school. This keeps it OFF your driving record. But, if you get another moving violation, within 18 months from the time you take the school....you are screwed.

Go to court. If you just got it SF wont know. Plead for Prayer for Judgment. You wont be charged but if you get any more violations in 3 years you get it charged, maybe do driving school ?? Thats how it works in NC. You can get it removed w/ driving school.Took my insurance over a year to get me on 2 speeding tickets. Never know tho.

I don't work for State Farm, but the company I work for only checks driving records when you get your policy, and when your policy is up for renewal. As far as your rates going up, they probably will, but I doubt it will be much. Your rates are determined by a lot of factors: your age, where you live, your car's year, make & model, the coverage you want and your driving record.Source(s):I sell auto insurance.

It MAY depend on the State you live in. In Arkansas (as many others) you must have proof of insurance to register your vehicle each year. I had my card from State Farm with me but the clerk said, "yeah, we already have it in the computer". Obviously they have contact between SF and the DMV.

They check everytime your policy renews! So next time your up for renewal they will find the ticket and raise your insurance not sure by how much..

I actually work for State farm. They don't usually do a records check on clients unless they make some changes to their policy or after a year or so. So it may take about a year before they even see it. They usually don't check in the middle of a term so you won't see the change in premium until one of your 6 month renewals. There's no set percentage or number that your policy will go up but if I had to say, it may go up somewhere between 40-50%. It's a pretty big jump when you get points. My best advice for you would be to see if you can go to traffic court and pay extra to get the points taken off. Because if they stay on there you will be paying for it for 3 years from the date it pops up on your license.Good luck man, hope that helps you out some.Source(s):My Job

What company has the cheapest basic auto insurance for Atlanta Georgia drivers?
There isn't one. If you haggle they all try and beat one another for price, if you don't they sense it and try and charge you as much as you will pay, I kind of like it...I always pay less than my "bright" neighbor and drive faster cars.Suits me sir.Source(s):A the bb that's me!

Auto Insurance - Uninsured/Underinsured?
You are not covered under your liability coverage. You can't be liable to yourself. You can't go to the court house and file a law suit against yourself. You can't garnish your own wages to pay yourself for a judgment. You can cancel Uninsured and Under insured. But it's incredibly stupid to...
