Is it a law in New Hampshire that you must have car insurance?

I recently bought a car that i know own 100% (i am not leasing). Is it a NH state law that i HAVE to have car insurance? Any sources would be very helpful.

No. NH does NOT require auto insurance, unless you've been in an accident, and not made good on the damage you caused. Any NH agent will be able to tell you the same thing.Source(s):agent, 22+ years

Try again. I think there is ONE state that does not require liability insurance for cars. The minimum in most states is MUCH more than $15,000. That wouldn't cover a MINOR accident WITHOUT injuries in most vehicles.
