Here is some information for you. You need to take 100 hours of classroom instruction and complete an exam.http://www.ehow.com/how_7808743_becoming…

First, you go to the FL insurance department website, and buy the study materials to learn the stuff. Then, you sign up and pass a test. Then, you pass a background check. Then, you go to an insurance company and ask them to appoint you, or an agency, and ask them to hire you as a producer.

Where I live, you need to pass an exam. You can do online self-study, or go to school.

Please do not click on that "ehow" link in a previous answer. Those articles are written by people who's main objective is to make money on the click ads and most of those articles have many errors and omissions.Follow Tom Z's advice. In addition, my advice is, after you've gotten the license and the appointments to a company is to have at least 6 months (preferably a year) living expenses saved up prior to starting your sales. 95% of new agents wash out the first year, primarily because they can't afford to live and feed the new business at the same time.Source(s):Independent Agent

Heather, you don't mention what your background and experience is. Getting the license is only step one. Here is a link to get everything you need to become a licensed agent in the State of Florida:http://www.myfloridacfo.com/agents/Licen…The problem is, even though you are a licensed agent, it doesn't mean that you can now sell auto insurance. The next step would be securing an agency appointment with a company that sells auto insurance in Florida. This is easier said than done because insurance companies are very particular about who they appoint to represent them. They almost always require a significant premium volume commitment which can be difficult, if not impossible, for a start up agent. The best way to get started in this line of work is to get a job with an agency that already has existing agency contracts to represent one or more companies.Good luck and best wishes for your success.Source(s):...

Where can i find cheap insurance in San Antonio?
Here in Houston, Safe Auto was cheapest. FWIW, that means, roughly $2500 a year, for minimum coverage, no coverage on the car itself, for someone your age.

How much average premium for Car insurance....?????
I would say about $100 per month is average. But average is way to hard to quantify and not something you should go by. Insurance depends on both your driving record, and you car among other factors which are different for each individual driver. For you to find the best price, get an online...

How much for basic auto insurance in Canada?
The best answer you're going to get to all your questions is from your own insurance people. Call them and ask them. Anyone other than them who gives you a price is guessing. (Maybe an accurate guess, but it's still going to be a guess.)

Is there a cancellation fee for canceling auto insurance that is not effective yet?
My company would refund it without charge but yours may not. You will have to ask them. The reason they asked about your son is because he apparently lives in your household. They need to know about all people in your household who have drivers licenses. You can specifically *exclude* your...

Can I stay on my parents auto insurance policy if I move out?
I believe you can stay on as a driver covered under their policy. Now if the car was yours, and you moved away and took the car with you, then no. You would be lying about where the car was actually garaged and you would have to get your own policy. Hope this helps.
