What vehicle would be best?

Im looking for a smaller truck or SUV to drive across country from Calgary AB to St. Catharine'-s ON. Im thinking like, 1991 Ford Ranger or Dodge Dakota, something like that, either a small pickup or SUV, but I cant spend over $1000. What would be best to get to drive that distance, and I was told you can get like, a week of insurance, just to drive it there and back and such, is it true? How much would it be? If you just give me some site I can work it all out, I just have no idea where to start!Thanks!

It's going to be hard to find a decent car - one you'll want to drive across the country - with just $1000. Try http://autos.yahoo.com and http://www.motors.ebay.com. Those are a couple of good sites to look at!

you'll be hard pressed to find a car that won't fall apart for $1Kyou be better off renting or finding a ride share and splitting the costs.$3,000 is about average for something that won't cost you another $1,000 in repairs
