Will AAA of southern Ca raise my insurance rates for a no-fault accident?

I have AAA of southern california auto insurance. While my car was parked in a parking lot, a vehicle hit and damaged the front end of my car and then left (I was not present at the time of the accident). Will it raise my insurance rates to report this accident and then have the damages repaired?

John

And you parked your car there did'nt you put that car in that space where it would get dammage. Comprensive covers the damage and rates will go up. No such thing as no fault the car owner will always pay.Source(s):Nissan Master Technician

If your not at fault you should not worry. But insurance can go up for what ever.

In general, there is usually no action taken for non-fault losses. Reporting a claim does not affect your rates.Source(s):claims person

In most cases no...if this is your first or only claim. It also depends on the amount of damage and how much it costs to repair it. Either way I'd have them fix it...thats what you pay insurance for. Think of how much you have spent on insurance since you have been driving...they probably owe you one fix anyway.

Unfortunately, insurance companies can raise your rights at any time. In my fifteen years of driving, I've been in several accidents, none of which were my fault and my rates never were raised. My wife was just in an accident that was her fault. George

How does auto insurance work when you "loan" your car to another?
Call your insurance company to see if you can add him to your policy or if he would be covered under yours. Each state is different so ask them. And GO DAD!! 87 and an excellent driving record, those 2 things don't usually go together.

What happens if you keep switching auto insurance policy numbers?
$10 over a six month period can happen for no reason at all. If you stay with the same company after a while they will probably give a discount for that. Gold status could be after 1 or 2 years and platinum after 5 years or something like that. Your insurance agent is right, that is a good...

How is the health care overhaul different from auto insurance?
purely a political statement. Federal social law trumps states rights. Isn't the right glad they didn't push tort reform through so that they can clog up the court system with these frivolous lawsuits?EDIT: To the person above: Problem with people like you who don't want insurance is that...
